Six ways to draw a foot

The condition pages run on generic stock photography. These are six candidate illustration treatments, each applied to the same five photographs — chosen to break the styles in different ways. We are picking one to run across the whole library.

The rule every treatment follows

Monochrome base. Neutral greys and off-white. No other hue survives the conversion.

One accent. #03989E — the brand teal, and nothing else.

It marks the problem. Teal appears only on the affected area, rendered in each style’s own medium.

What to look for

Whether the teal still lands on the right inch of foot. Whether faces simplify away — these are stock photographs of real people, and the styles that dissolve identity are the safer ones to run at scale.

And on the cracked heels especially: whether the texture survives. If the flaking skin smooths out, the picture has stopped doing its job.
